Crazy Escipade at Macy's

My four children and I did the Black Friday shopping! I knew as soon as I stepped out my front door that was going to be an adventure... I had two things which indicated my thought process... 1. crazy happens when Matt is out of town! 2. I don't have many dull moments. Here goes...

a few things that happened for the build up at Macy's

1. stopped by close friends to give a quick hello (turned out be an hour and a half)

2. each child got to chose a toy from 5 Below

3. Had lunch at Chick-Fil-A and was complemented on my parenting skills

4. picked up a few gifts at Rite Aid

5. stopped by Game Stop to see their deal which turned out not to be a good deal at all

 Now for Macy's

We needed to get my MIL a gift for Christmas and the children wanted the most perfect gift... We were on track when I spotted shoes with a clearance sign of %50 off! They had  the most colorful high heels... I couldn't resist... The children were behaving so well so I looked quickly before I realized they were not  good deals at all... $50 and up...


So...

We were back on track with our shopping... The store was crowded and you couldn't walk more than a foot before running into someone. I don't think I have ever been in such a packed out place... The shoe department was very close to the escalator and all of the children wanted to see if there were any goodies for their grandmother... So...They followed in a line as I pushed Juliet in her stroller... We walked 10 ft from where we were originally standing in the shoes and I looked back to see Savannah, Gary, and .... no one else...

 My face got hot, sweat began to bead up on my neck, hot flashes poured in and I said... "Where's Jonathan?" He didn't make it through the crowd. We walked the small 10 ft and he was not there. I immediately began to pace and say his sweet name. No sound. wait... I heard a voice but it was hard to tell if it was his raspy voice I loved hearing. We searched...


As we called his name, I thought about how this place was ideal perfect place to snag a child... Packed with people, loud, and an easy split second is all it takes...I could feel my heart pound so hard that I thought at any second it was going to come through my jacket and I would have to catch it.


In about 2min, I heard a lady over the intercom say they had a lost child. "Could that be mine?" A sales associate saw my expressions and asked if it was me who had lost a child and she proceeded to take me to the office located next to the shoe department. I desperately wanted that child to be my precious Jonathan. My emotions were running through me as we walked through the office and there he was... sitting in a chair. I lost it at that very moment. He came to me so quickly and hugged me tightly as if to never let go. The uncontrollable tears streamed down my face as I held him in my arms. I looked up to see five female sales associates wiping away tears and a man with watery eyes... It ended with them giving my four children candy... A long day with a great outcome but very scary... and yes it still is a little emotional for me to think about my heart melting Jonathan looking at me with those precious blue eyes.

3min. warmup on the treadmill a little harder than easy pace
get your 3lb weights out!!! YOu are going to do a circuit
30min. circuit
side to side lunges with weights 1 min.
2min on treadmill WITH 3.0 PACE
BI-CEP curls 1min
3min on treadmill at 2.5 pace
lunges with weights 1 min.
run at 5.0 pace 1 min.
slow down to 3.0 for 2 min.
tri-cep curls 1 min
Repeat warmup and workout x2!

Tomorrow
20 min on treadmill
I want you to do a 3 min. warmup more than easy
pick up pace to 3.2 for 2min
slow down to 2.5 1min
pick up pace to 5.0 1min
slow down to 3.0 2min.
pick up pace to 4.5 1.5min
slow down pace to 2.5 2min
pick up pace to 3.5 2min
slow down to 2.0 1min
pick up pace to 5.0 1.5 min.
slow down to 2.o for 3 min.

take a break... catch your breath...

grab your weights!!!
plie squats with 3lb weights 2min.
inclined pushups... use table, counter, wall 2min.
walk up and down the stairs 2min.
moutain climbers 2min. (it's been a while)
now run to the stop sign and back saying "I did it!"

20 min. brisk pace on treadmill 2.5 (you can do it!!!)

it's ab time!!!
get on your couch and this is where you will begin!!!

now do 50 sit ups
rest 1 min.
do 50 oblique crunches (this is side to side)
rest 1 min.
100 flutter kicks

stair climbing is so lovely!!!
you have 25 min. of stairs go up brisk

100 situps pulling your legs in do four sets of 25
lastly... 3 min. of planks!!!

As you all know... I have been training in the pool... Well, this week I made progress!!!!

Ran for 30 min.
9:15, 9:06, 9:00 mi. and then I ran to cool down
Tuesday
6 min core
10 min. rock climbing
1 hr. ZUMBA
Wednesday
swam 32 min.

13 laps freestyle
 this day was also day for suicide
warm up jog down to the end of the street and back
1min side to side lunges
suicide (2min) three cones spaced out and you run as hard as you can to each cone and run back...
1 min. tri-cep curls
suicide (2min)
1min. plies with bi-cep curls
suicide (2min)
1 min. butterfly
suicide (2min)
Thursday
tire workout... ha ha ha
we flipped it all over the yard

hip thrusters
step-ups

3mi. run and finish last few min. 9:05, 8:59, 8:52 and ran last few min. to cool down did 2 striders

swam 11 laps w/o stopping!!! huge improvement!

do curtsy and then do opposite leg of cursty
tri-cep bends (5lb weights)
side to side lunges (5lbs weights)
bi-cep curls
standing lunges switch to other leg 30 sec. through (5lb weights)
butterflies with 5lb weights
Sat.
30 min. swim
2 mi. jog
5 min. straight of planks and you switching from middle to left side onto right side after 1 min. in
bridges of 5x10 pyramid with partner which means you hold position and you take turns (if you are really interested let me know)
lastly 1 min. of bicycles
Note:
This week the scale became my friend and I lost weight. For 4 weeks, it didn't budge and there was no loss... Now I have a total of 3lbs to go before prepreggo weight! Juliet is 16 weeks believe it or not... The time flies~ Also, I wanted to share with you... My weight doesn't come off easy as you can see, I work for every pound of it to go away! It takes time and is not a quick process but an over time process. Please stay motivated ladies!!!

Jan. weekly workouts!

Here is the run down of some of the workouts I have done since last posting...

with .25 mi. cool down jog in between. (you are welcome to walk but I like to jog)!

6:18 mini dog attacked me and was trying to bite my shoe before his owner came out. kept running didn't have time to deal with the dog!

run easy for 35 min. huge dog came out at the end of the street came out and i ran up to him and it was no big deal... he was on a dog choker and no I didn't tease him. He has been there at least the four years we have been in this neighborhood (would have been longer but I have to work around the schedule.)

Run 5k at 5k race pace
forgot times completely;-(
shin splints are back and very painful resting from running ;-(

not much of a swimmer and can't breathe
had a friend help me and she was great! now I can breathe in pool.. need to work on my form... much to do
80 min. in pool! prepping for a triathlon and I have never done one... will be interesting
